I'm a fully qualified Person Centered Counsellor and registered member of the BACP with experience working with adults at the NHS Talking Therapies Service (previously known as IAPT), Rape Crisis, Being Heard, and the Samaritans. My practice is trauma-informed, and I have experience supporting people through a wide range of life experiences including;
grief and loss
life-limiting illness
divorce and separation
existential exploration
suicidal thoughts
anxiety and panic
depression, low mood and low self-esteem
job loss
trauma
loneliness, isolation
life transitions
I have undertaken additional training in areas such as unconscious bias, anti-racism, cultural intelligence, relational trauma, working with shame, bereavement, and effective communication skills.
I'm qualified as a yoga teacher, with training in trauma informed yoga, as I understand the importance of physical movement and mindfulness to help mental health.
I have also personal experience with free movement, solution focused hypnotherapy, and coaching. I continue to educate myself through professional CPD and receive regular supervision to ensure my practice is ethical and within my ability to help.
I offer an affirmative and exploratory approach that is respectful, grounded, and gently challenging when needed. Sessions with me can help you slow down, reflect, and begin to understand yourself more deeply, so you can move forward with more clarity, self-compassion, and choice. Together, we’ll explore what’s working, what isn’t, and what might need to change - both internally and externally. My training is based on a humanistic approach and can incorporate some CBT methods, and mindfulness practice, if this is suitable and desired by you.
I strive to ensure all my clients feel fully seen and heard, offering queer-affirmative and anti-oppressive therapy. I recognise the additional stressors that can come with navigating the world as part of a marginalised or minority group, and I approach this work with cultural humility and awareness of systemic injustice. I’ve had the privilege of working with adults of all ages, including those facing end of life, and from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, which continues to shape my practice with depth, openness, and respect.
I have a particular interest in supporting people with an online presence; creators, influencers, talent navigating visibility in digital spaces, and industry personnel. If your work or life is “out there” in some way, I understand the emotional toll that can take, as I worked within the celebrity and influencer brand endorsement space for over a decade. I offer a confidential, grounded space to show up exactly as you are, no performance needed.
